In this version, many things were added and changed. Pre-Alpha was released quietly in September 2016.Īlpha 1 is the second public version of Hello Neighbor. The player is trapped in their house and a giant Neighbor would appear outside and smash the bedroom window to capture them. If the player got caught or slept often enough, they would find themselves in the nightmare.

He set up security cameras, some of which could be set up on the floor. The Neighbor was able to spot the player in their own house, though he couldn't catch them there without a glitch. During a chase, the Neighbor would throw bear traps to trap the player, and tomatoes which would tint the player's screen red for a few seconds and obscure their vision. The Neighbor could be distracted by throwing items, which would lure him to that location, or by ringing the doorbell or breaking a window. There was no basement or ending in this version, opening the door would an reveal empty room under the stairs.

From here the player could remove the board on the basement door, put a code onto the combination lock, and unlock the copper lock. Pre-Alpha can easily be beaten by simply getting the hammer or crowbar and getting the copper key or lockpick. The televisions and radios had the same sound, a fast talking Spanish announcer advertising a bank.

Additionally, the Neighbor would place furniture barricades that could be knocked over. One of the rooms had its doors barricaded by a fridge and a table, preventing the player or Neighbor entering normally, though they could've broken the window to gain access. The Neighbor's house had two layouts, which affected the placement of items and the accessibility of rooms. The player's own house had a few empty inaccessible rooms, and one room containing a bed and an empty hallway containing the front door. It only contained one floor, with the stairs to the next floor blocked by a pile of furniture. In this version, the Neighbor's house was blue, and pretty large on the outside. Signed, sorry this is personal info I can’t tell you my name.Pre-Alpha was the third version of Hello Neighbor and the first to be released publicly. But overall good game and amazing graphics, and storyline! Bye! Also, why are the cardboard cutout police so fat? It’s too hard, and there are so many things you have to collect, it makes it so your game can last for hours. Anyway, I think this is really good, but one problem. Your brother is the cop, along with his fellow cardboard cutouts, which are very annoying, and I think you can guess what your brother and his cardboard does. You are the robber, trying to get all 32 bags of money in the basket. Then, the second act, you and your brother are playing cops and robbers.

The first act, you are a safari hunter and your brother is dressed like a tiger, chasing you around until you get all 16 stuffed animals and put them in the basket. Your brothers it, and he comes dressed different ways for each act. You go into 5 different make believe worlds, and do the former. Okay, so, I love the hello nieghbor series, and this is like a flashback to the past where you are playing as the daughter, and your brother will be chasing you around while you grab certain items and drop them into the giant basket.
